Cancellation Notice Please note that you must notify us at least 48 hours in advance if you wish to cancel your initial assessment or therapy appointment. Otherwise, you will need to bear the full cost of the session. Should you cancel before the 48 hour mark, a refund can be requested, minus the card processing fees.

Payment Card Processing Policy Dr Jo Gee Psychotherapy and Online DBT use Jane App’s PCI-compliant processing partner Stripe to process cards for payment. We charge your card on arrival at the session. There may be instances where your card is charged without you being notified first, this would be in circumstances where you do not arrive at your appointment and we need to charge the fee in line with our cancellation policy, or if you cancel within our cancellation policy.

Jane captures your card information and then sends this to Stripe. Stripe then provide a token to Jane that replicates your card so that we can charge it. Jane will never store the full card details on their servers, nor does Dr Jo Gee Psychotherapy and Online DBT have access to your full card information after it is saved. Our staff will ensure that we notify you whenever possible when your card is going to be charged, but in some instances, this may not always be possible. By booking a treatment or session with us either directly, or through our online booking site, you agree to your card being charged for money that is owed to the clinic.

Dr Laura Vivarelli

Laura is an experienced Adult Consultant Psychiatrist with over twenty years of psychiatric practice. She qualified as a medical doctor in her home country, Italy, in 2001 at the University of Pisa. After completion of her postgraduate training in Italy, she was approved on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register to practice general adult psychiatry in the UK in 2006. In 2006 she also qualified as Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapist with the School of Cognitive Psychotherapy in Rome, Italy . She has worked as an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist since 2006 and has acquired vast experience of treating a broad range of mental health disorders ranging from anxiety, depression, bipolar affective disorder, psychosis, PTSD, dissociative and personality disorders. Dr Vivarelli has been a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2012 and she is especially interested in the treatment of anxiety and affective disorders as well as mental health difficulties originating from the exposure to traumatic events including PTSD, complex PTSD and acute stress reaction as well as adjustment disorders. She became EMDR therapist in 2010 and has been practicing EMDR since then.

Dr Avleen Sawhney

Dr Sawhney is a General Adult Psychiatrist, who is also an NHS substantive Consultant and has been since 20008, having completed both her Basic and Higher Specialist Training via the Oxford Deanery. She has a special interest in psychological therapies, and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy from the Oxford University, and has worked in a specialist CBT clinic for about 7 years.

She worked in the acute care setting for 5 years, before she moved in to Community Mental health, delivering high quality, evidence-based treatments alongside her team to support recovery for their patients.Dr Sawhney believes in proving a comprehensive assessment using a holistic and a biopsychosocial approach in helping patients recover from their illnesses, working with them and their families .She has expertise in all areas of general adult psychiatry ,with particular interest in OCD, Eating disorders, Complex trauma or PTSD, mood disorders and personality disorders.

Dr Dunn is a General Adult Psychiatrist with experience of working in the Community. At the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust he was college tutor for 5 years and for 5 years Regional advisor for South East London to the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
